Cincinnati Bearcats Men’s Basketball In Top 5 For The First Time In 16 Years

Yes, you heard that right, the Cincinnati Bearcats Men’s Basketball team are ranked in the top 5 in the rankings for the first since 2002 team the included Steve Logan and bunch.

This is the highest ranking under head coach Mick Cronin. UC is 23-2 overall in the season and riding a 16 game winning streak and 12-0 in the American. This team has not played its best game of the season yet. Oh, my.

Tough week ahead for the Bearcats as they will hit the road to take on the Houston Cougars who are looking for that signature win that will get them into the locked side of the NCAA tournament. They had UC in the ropes in the first meeting two weeks, up 18 in the first half before UC railed and won the game 80-70. This is the biggest game ever for Houston, and it’s going to be the toughest game left on the schedule for UC other than the two games against Wichita State. Cincinnati will finally play the Shockers on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm on ESPN at BB@T Arena.

Big week. UC a top 5 team and lots still to play for. Just going to sit back and enjoy this ride.

Look where this program was at when Mick took over 12 years ago and think right now he has inherited a team that has a legit chance to make this season a special.

Just keeping winning.
