Thoughts On UC’s Loss To UCF, Where Is The Defense?

The Cincinnati Bearcats football team is not good right now and its just the process of this rebuilding. UC allows 51 to the then 25th ranked UCF Knights in a 51-23 home loss last Saturday night. The game was called late in the third quarter because of rain but by then the game was already decided five minutes into the game.

Thoughts on the game:

  • The defense has lost it. The first three games of the season it was the strength of the team and since the Navy game when they allowed over 500 yards on the ground its been downright terrible.
  • Hayden Moore actually played okay. I’ll go and say it was his second best played game of the season.
  • Mike Boone had a good game, still recovering from his injury.

There’s really not a lot to say about this game. It was just bad from the beginning. I don’t think UCF punted the ball at all. To the fans already giving up on Luke Fickell leave, we don’t need you. Tommy Tuberville really screwed us over. After the season ends, Fickell will get his players and then we can judge but right now its not the time.

UC goes to USF to take on the Bulls on their homecoming Saturday night at 7:30pm on ESPNU. Great. Hopefully it won’t be a blowout but let’s just pray and hope because that’s all we can really do right now.
