Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert has not played since the opener against the Baltimore Ravens. He’s been battling a bad back that took place during the off-season and into training camp.
Bengals TE Tyler Eifert is in LA, deciding whether to undergo a 3rd back surgery that would end his year, sources tell @FieldYates and me.

Wow. But we are not surprised at all, ever since the Bengals drafted Eifert in the first round back in 2102 he’s been injury prone in his career here at Cincinnati. So it’s not a stretch to say that we have probably seen the last of Eifert wearing a Bengals jersey and its very unfortunate because he is so talented but so fragile.
So far in the season, they aren’t really missing him that much. The other Tyler on the team, Kroft, has stepped up and played really well.
Eifert’s best season was in 2015 where he caught 13 touchdown passes and pretty much all of them were from the red zone.
